Playing with Stamps

I got a bug to play around with carving my own stamps. I’ve used foam to burn and cut stamps, and decided to venture into the world of sharp, knife like tools as well!

Here are a few I came up with:

I used the Speedball tools and carving block (for lack of actually knowing what it’s called off the top of my head). I have seen people use the Staedtler white erasers as well, and think I’ll try that too. This was a lot of fun, and some good old play time. I look forward to seeing what all I can come up with in the future!

Have a great weekend!

Your bird stamps are great! I have been lino block printing for decades now, on and off, but only recently (February) started art journaling and exploring mixed media art work. I am, therefore, just now venturing into carving my own stamps. I find it difficult to work on such a small scale when I am used to carving much larger blocks – though using soft carve certainly helps.
