Inspire Hope – c2015 M. Armour

Here is more information on the Pelaia Family, as written by her husband Butch (taken from their Go Fund Me page):

Laura Pelaia is my wife of 22 years; mother of 5 and the bravest woman I know. I have watched her give selflessly and quietly behind the scenes: supporting and often letting the rest of us shine.

On December 18,2014 while she was in surgery having a lumpectomy, was diagnosed with stage 3a breast cancer. That day everything about who we are as a family was put to the test. It was by the grace of God that I was able to share the news with my children: Bethany (17), Brittany (16), Breanna (13), Bryleigh (10) and last but definitely not the least Bryson (6). We sought God’s presence, peace and the truth about this traumatic change to our world….. Their mother; their glue; their teacher – was struck with this disease.

Laura’s first concern was that her identity, who God says she is, would be overshadowed with what was happening to her. Laura told me “This isn’t about cancer; it’s about hearing God.”

And so our greatest adventure to date is now on it’s way. We have already been blessed in so many ways. We have had our community rally to our side and been overwhelmed by love and support.

We have known this family for many years and they are awesome people, and their attitude is amazing. I’m going to link to their Go Fund Me site which is going directly to help pay for the more than $30,000 in treatment costs. You don’t have to give, but if you would lift them up in prayer I would appreciate it. If you’d like to check it out CLICK HERE.

And, I have something for YOU! If you’d like a 5×5 printable version of Inspire Hope, simply CLICK HERE to download from 4shared. You are welcome to print as many as you’d like, I’d only ask that you don’t resell it. It’s my way of saying THANK YOU…thank you for reading my blog, thank you for your support and kind words, thank you for being YOU.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Lovely piece and what a true friend you are. Battling cancer is never easy but with God’s healing embrace your friend and her family will get over this trial. Sending healing prayers for all of them.
