Things I Don’t Want Seen

There are things I don’t want seen or known. This includes some bible journal pages I’ve done. I like showing off my “good” pages, and hiding those that don’t meet my standards (I’m pretty perfectionistic when it comes to my art work), but that’s not being honest and transparent. It’s not presenting the “real” that comes with any pursuit. You aren’t going to do it right, pretty, amazing, wonderful, ALL THE TIME. No one does. Get that? NO ONE DOES.

A goal I have set for this year is to be more transparent, more real, not just with myself but as a whole. That includes stepping out and sharing those things I’d rather not have ANYONE see. Things that embarrass me, like work that I don’t think is up to snuff. If it encourages some one, and helps them see that others don’t do it perfect every time, it’s worth it. Even if it’s just stretching myself and my comfort zones, it’s worth it.

So, without further ado, here are some pages that I’m not fond of, but that came from my heart none the less.

As a note: PLEASE know I’m not searching for compliments, or to be told how NOT bad these pages are. I understand that even my “bad” pages are someone else’s amazing pages. ย The point of this is to share things with you all…things I would rather have stay hidden. It’s more about being transparent, than what you think about these pages. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope you have a great Monday!

Awwww, that’s great that you are being more transparent and making that a year-long goal Mindy. Your journaling is sweet. I especially like the ‘ache’ one. That’s my favourite.

Yay for being transparent and sharing them with us. We can’t really have perfect pages every time and once that thought is accepted by us wholeheartedly that’s when the fun part begins. We are more open to new things, we experiment on new supplies and love the outcomes just the same.
